GRABSCHÄNDER was formed in 1996 from Seigor, as a solo-project. One year later he wanted to record a first Demo tape, but he couldn't play drums. So, he asked Mortem in late 1997 to play drums on his project. Mortem was pleased to play drums at "Grabschänder", and joined to the project. After that, in the beginning of 1998 joined Thrasher to "Grabschänder", for bass playing. And the project "Grabschänder" became the band "Grabschänder".

In this year "Grabschänder" had much line-up changes and it doesn't work so well with some people inside the band. They didn't see "Grabschänder" as a serious band. So, Seigor and Mortem decided to threw the rest band members out of "Grabschänder". Mortem & Seigor went back to the roots to play Brutal Black Death Metal. The line-up from 1999 till 2003 was: "Mortem - Drums & Back Vocals" and "Seigor - Guitar, Bass & Vocals". With this line up, they recorded three demos.

After few rehearsals in '99, they recorded their first demo-tape called "Verfaultes Fleisch". They made a release party on an old cemetery, at fucking X-mass. They wanted to play live but they didn't, because they got no aggregate. The party became an evil blasphemous grave desecrating orgy. What an unholy blasphemous night! One year later the second demo was unleashed, called "Leichenduft". Pure Black Death Metal Destruction.

In April 2001 they had their first and ever live-show, together with "Irmingot". After the show the whole floor was covered with blood. After this, Schüssler joined to "Grabschänder" to play bass on the new demo. But he left "Grabschänder" cause of his other band. They recorded their third, and last demo so far, called "Masturbation Of The Undead", it was released by "Vargulf Prod.". In late 2002 Mortem left the band, cause of his job. After one year in abstinence, F.R. came to them, to play drums.
